Impact and innovation

Good evidence, put to work

I lead impact and innovation work at Toynbee Hall, the East End charity founded in 1884. That means the evidence behind Debt Free Advice, the London-wide partnership that has given free, impartial debt advice since 2006, and new ways of delivering that advice.

I wrote each of the partnership's four impact reports and produced the statistics in them. I managed the project that built MoneyPennie, the partnership's in-house Advisor Intelligence platform, which supports debt advisers rather than replacing them.

New ideas in old institutions

I bring the same approach to the City. The livery companies have done charitable work for centuries, and they do most good when they keep finding new ways to be useful.

In 2022 I co-founded the Coopers' Cask Race, now an annual event in Guildhall Yard that is free for the public to watch. As Warden I drafted the Company's Code of Conduct for adoption by the Court and worked with the Court and the Society to modernise how the Company runs.
